Every year there are several opportunities to invite Rakugo performers to New York. At these "Yose," members and others are invited to fill the space and enjoy. A yearly New Year's Party and other events give members a chance to gather and have fun in each other's company. For members there is also a free lending service for Rakugo cassettes, CDs and videos.

At the Inaugural Yose in July of 1994 we had performances by two Rakugo Masters, Shunpuutei Shouchou and Kokontei Shinya. Since then we have had 19 Yose sponsored by the New York Rakugo Kai and 10 Yose co-sponsored with other organizations including the Japanese American Association of New York.
